Maracaibo Estates on Salt Spring Island

Maracaibo Estates on Saltspring Island currently has 85 strata owners and subdivided lots to add nine more additional small lots. MSR Solutions reviewed the capacity and water quality of the existing water system to ensure sufficient water quantity and quality of water to supply the new lots.  The design for water servicing a nine-lot subdivision met Island Health and Islands Trust requirements.  The subdivision is now complete.

Osprey Landing, Wardner, BC

Osprey Landing, Wardner, BC

Osprey Landing, Wardner, BC

Osprey Landing was an advanced secondary treatment system in an 81-home recreational development in Wardner, BC. The treatment plant included design and commissioning of Rapid Infiltration Basins. After construction of the treatment plant was completed, the development was put on hold.

Once the development resumed, MSR Solutions provided guidance for reinstating the system. We also provided commissioning services for the treatment plant and lift stations. Then MSR secured a Registration under the Municipal Wastewater Regulation. A unique aspect of this project was the ability to identify and implement an effective strategy for maximizing the value that could be retained from equipment that had been idle.

664 Rockingham Road

664 Rockingham Road is a 5-lot subdivision. MSR Solutions provided Civil Site Servicing for the developer. The site was steep and rocky. The new access road had to accommodate two existing residential driveways with minimal disruption during construction.

MSR Solutions provided a Stormwater Management Plan and ensured Fire Access requirements were met.

MSR Solutions is proud to have been a part of this now complete project.

This included the access road to the development and servicing of the first 18 lots as per Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure standards.

In commissioning phase for the water and wastewater treatment plants.

Prince Rupert Airport

Prince Rupert Airport

Prince Rupert Airport

This project provided a rainwater harvesting system to meet the potable water needs of the Prince Rupert Airport.

The airport had identified the need to improve upon its current water supply from a lake intake, but alternative water sources were limited due to the airport being located on a small island. MSR Solutions conducted a source analysis and determined the optimal solution for that particular site is rainwater harvesting, with retention of the existing lake source as an emergency backup.

MSR Solutions designed the system for storage, treatment and conveyance of the rainwater as well as an improved treatment process for the lake water source, and obtained a permit through the health authority. Construction of the system is now complete. It is currently in the commissioning stage.

A unique aspect of this project is the use of rainwater harvesting within a larger commercial context, in contrast to typical rainwater systems which service single households.
