MSR Solutions Inc. (MSRS) was hired by Three Point Properties Ltd. and its affiliated companies for developing a Community Wastewater Treatment System, henceforth called “the Lighthouse Wastewater Treatment System”, for the various developments within the area. Further to completion of the desktop study, MSRS has been retained by the Client to “Register” the Lighthouse Wastewater Treatment System with the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV) under the Municipal Wastewater Regulation (MWR), of the Environmental Management Act.

The development of the Lighthouse Wastewater Treatment System will be completed in two phases. Flow estimation for Phase 1 and 2 is estimated at around 133,00 and 311,000 (L/day), respectively.

The wastewater treatment plant consists of primary settling headworks, flow equalization, a membrane bioreactor (MBR) process, chemical and biological nutrient reductions, and effluent disinfection with ultraviolet (UV) light. The treatment system will provide a Class B effluent –i.e., BOD5 and TSS concentration of 10 (mg/L) or less and fecal coliform less than 400 [MPN/100(ml). The treated effluent will discharge into the wetland.
